I am friends with Ned and he just gave me the signed copy of Twee that you signed for my almost 5yr old and almost 3yr old daughters Sadie and Gianna. I wanted to write you so that you know it's one of their favorite books!! I've had it since Tuesday and we've read it every night before bed! It's one of their "special" books that they actually take care of vs. destroy!!Thanks so much for a great book! We can't wait for the next one!! :)

What fans say about I Am Twee'.
Susie HAS DONE IT AGAIN! In I Am Twee’ Susie mixes the story with the message that recognizing what is unique and special is important to a child’s development and healthy self-concept. An understanding of each individual’s growth and ownership of unique gifts in life, then recognizing and celebrating those is a powerful message, often lost in today’s society, with the pressure to fit in. Susie has captured this essence in Twee’s continued journey. This is an important book for anyone who works with children and adolescents. Robert J. Narucki, M.A., VT Licensed Psychologist-Master.
I Am Twee’ is delightful. Much like our children, Twee’ grows through some of the same stages. Twee’ provided my granddaughters with a safe way to speak about their own actions and feelings of jealousy and wanting to be something they are not. Twee’ showed them everyone is special in different ways, and you need to just be yourself, and it takes time to blossom. Mary M. Fargen, grandmother and avid reader.

Another heartwarming children’s book by Susie Caron.
This book is written beautifully. I confess that the Between You and Me books are some of the nicest children’s books I have reviewed lately. Written in sweet language, this latest book in the series teaches children about self-worth and self-acceptance.
Twee is now a grown tree, but wants to be someone else. It would like to be an apple tree, so it can have beautiful flowers, much fruit, and happy visitors. Looking at its sticky sap, the pine tree is angry about its appearance. Twee has no visitors or friends, and no one climbs its trunk. The unhappy pine tree is taking out her anger on her only friend, the mountain rock. One day, when a little girl and her mother spot the pine tree between the rocks, everything changes …
Following the main character, Twee, children will learn that each living thing, including human beings, has a purpose in life and has been placed on this planet for a reason. Without preaching, the author underlines a very important lesson: the best policy in life is to stay true to yourself and be your own person. Great lesson to learn and share with others!
Summary: I Am Twee'
Twee’ is a bit older now, but is she wiser?
In this second picture book-allegory from Susie’s “Between You And Me Series,” this young pine tree feels useless because she has nothing to share. Twee’ notices the apple trees in the valley, offer many gifts, which draw children and adults to visit them. However, the people don’t even see Twee’, and she begins to wish she were an apple tree. After many seasons, Twee’ is ready to give up, when an unusual event changes her mind.
Join Twee’ as she journeys to discover that by being herself and different she has something special to contribute.

An inspiring, instructional story about a little pine tree that learns a valuable life lesson: appreciate what you have today, because tomorrow everything may change. This great message for children and grown-ups is delivered through the journey of a tiny tree, sweetly named Twee.
Born between rocks on the side of the mountain, the little pine had the privilege of a beautiful view of the valley, but Twee was not happy about the changing weather. The snobbish tree whined about the wind and rain, sun and snow, until one day a huge rock fell from the top of the mountain and covered its view of the beautiful valley…
This delightful story grabs the reader’s attention from the beginning and holds it to the end. The author smartly shows the reader how important it is to appreciate the simple things in life and how easily we could lose things we take for granted. The story reminds readers of the important matters of life – things can change quickly, but no matter how bad they are, we must remain positive. There is always a way out. We must just look for the light at the end of the tunnel.
Written in sample language, this story is illustrated in a pleasant and comforting style that every child would enjoy. A great story which teaches children to overcome obstacles and difficulties. A wonderful addition to any children’s book collection!
